KEITH EARLS will undergo a scan today to determine the extent of the knee-injury damage he sustained during Friday night's Pro12 loss to Leinster at Lansdowne Road.
The Ireland winger has been ruled out of Munster's November Heineken Cup games against Northampton and Castres and the province say it is not known at this stage how long Earls will be sidelined, with today's scan due to provide a clearer picture.
Meanwhile, an update on Brian O'Driscoll's shoulder injury is due at today's Leinster briefing.
The Ireland captain was ruled out of Friday night's clash with a 'stinger' injury and coach Joe Schmidt admitted afterwards that O'Driscoll may require surgery to correct the recurring problem.
"That's one of the things we are trying to decipher at the moment," said Schmidt.
"That's the reason he has gone to some more specialists and had some more scans. We want to make sure we don't play him in the condition that's going to affect him in the future."
