Exiles ready for Munster
AHEAD of next weekend's visit of Munster in the Heineken Cup, London Irish head coach Toby Booth was happy to see his side stay on top of the Aviva Premiership table with a 40-24 victory over Leeds Carnegie on Saturday.
Although Booth has called for improvements, he was pleased with the scrappy success at the Madejski Stadium.
"It was a very slow start and we felt our way into the game but I was confident that over a full 80 minutes we would be successful," he said.
"It was a workmanlike performance with no glitz or glamour and we are satisfied but not happy with our overall performance. We won ugly and we will take that.
"If it was a school report after the first quarter, I would describe it as very good. However, we haven't played fantastically, Newcastle apart, and there is much to improve."
