Munster and Glasgow played out a tight and enthralling encounter at Irish Independent Park last night, with the home side eking out a crucial 10-7 win to keep the pressure on Leinster at the top of the Pro12.

Both sides had chances to add to the seventeen points scored, with Billy Holland guilty of missing one opportunity when he couldn't find a team-mate with a pass out wide. Holland's wayward pass came just after referee Nigel Owens called advantage over, and when the Munster second row enquired about whether his side could go back for the scrum, he was met with a one liner for his trouble.

In typical Owens fashion, the referee shot Holland down with one a playful dig.

"Advantage is over there lads," he said.

"It's poor play by you there on the pass. Under no pressure there."

Maybe one day a player will take exception to one of Owens' barbs but Holland didn't seem to mind too much, as he offered 'Cheers coach' in response to the critique of his pass.

Munster went on to hold off Glasgow and pull within two points of Leinster with three games to go in the Pro12.
