Fitzgerald switches focus back to Leinster

HE could -- and many believe should -- have been looking forward to England and the World Cup, but Luke Fitzgerald will have to make do with a friendly against Northampton this evening at Donnybrook (7.0).

The winger has gone straight into the Leinster team alongside two players who are heading on the plane, with Isaac Boss starting at scrum-half and Sean Cronin making his bow in blue at hooker to pick up game-time.

But it's perhaps the performance of tight-head prop Jamie Hagan that will come most under the spotlight as he gets another chance to shine.

The Balbriggan native was overlooked for this World Cup, although he did train with Ireland this week, and Joe Schmidt believes his time will come sooner rather than later.
