Fenton finishes off job for Ardscoil

ArdScoil Ris earned a home draw against Rockwell thanks to their win against a gallant Glenstal at Coonagh.
The scoreline flattered Ardscoil, though, as they had to wait until the final minute to seal the victory through an intercept try by Shane Fenton, which David O'Mahony converted.
It was a superb try, with Paul McNamara kicking the ball ahead and quick hands moving the ball out the line to Fenton, who touched down between the posts.
In the first half Ardscoil went 7-0 up from a Lloyd White try, which O'Mahony converted. The out-half then landed a huge penalty from near the touchline three minutes after the restart to put his side 10-0 in front.
Glenstal Abbey fought back bravely and a series of pick and drives was rewarded when Neilus Mulvihill crashed over, with Gearoid Fitzpatrick by his shoulder, to make it 10-7. But Fenton's late intervention was enough to settle it.
