Ex-All Black and Australian rugby star arrested for allegedly trying to buy cocaine in Paris

All Blacks legend Ali Williams and Australian international James O'Connor were arrested in Paris last night in possession of cocaine, according to French police.

The pair were stopped by officers near the Champs Elysees outside a popular nightclub at around 3am and arrested.

Williams (35) retired from international duty in 2012 and is currently playing for Racing 92 after a two-season spell with Toulon. O'Connor (26) has been capped 44 times for Australia and currently plays for Toulon in the Top 14.

The duo were on a one-week break from league action when the incident occurred.
