Duo to take Irish 'A' reins
ERIC Elwood and Anthony Foley will lead Ireland 'A' next season having been confirmed as the new coaching ticket, WRITES RUAIDHRI O'CONNOR.
With 97 Ireland caps between them, the duo will bring bags of experience to the table as they take over from Michael Bradley, who coached the side this year.
Connacht coach Elwood will team up with Munster defence coach Foley to take charge against England Saxons and Scotland 'A' in January and February next year.
They will be assisted by team manager Joey Miles, who will continue in the role.
"I am delighted to take up this role," Elwood said. "It will be great to work with my old team-mate 'Axel' as both of us have progressed onto the other side of the game as coaches."
