Conway makes return to help 'A' team mission

LEINSTER wing Andrew Conway makes a welcome return to action in the British and Irish Cup after being named in the side to face reigning champions Cornish Pirates in Menave Field tomorrow (kick-off 2.0).
Colin McEntee picked Conway after he recovered from a neck injury picked up during the Magners League defeat to the Ospreys and the young back features in a Leinster side looking for their third win in the competition after last weekend's success over Plymouth Albion.
Much of that success was built on the performance of the pack, with captain Stephen Keogh and Eoin Sheriff touching down early on. Paul O'Donohoe features at scrum-half alongside Ian Madigan, with Brendan Macken and Noel Reid in midfield. These sides met last year, with Shaun Berne kicking all the points in a 12-10 victory.
Anthony Foley's Munster side got their campaign back on track last weekend with an impressive 47-14 win over Melrose to bring the second qualifying place firmly back into their sights. However, Donnacha Ryan has been called-up to the Heineken Cup squad to replace the suspended Paul O'Connell and misses out against Bristol tomorrow (3.0).
The experienced Niall Ronan is included at openside, with Sean Scanlon starting at full-back and Scott Deasy at No 10. Billy Holland captains the side from the second- row, where he locks down with Ian Nagle.
And after a first-round loss against Llanelli, Foley, who was recently named on the Ireland 'A' management ticket, knows his side can't afford to slip up again.
"It was a tough game when we played them last year in Nenagh and I'd expect much the same from them in their home ground. From here on in, it's knock-out rugby, no margin for error," he said.
"The result against Llanelli was disappointing to say the least. But the lads responded positively and last weekend played really well to get the bonus point and leave our destiny in this competition in our own hands."
