Wasps run riot as Toulouse are beaten

In 22 days' time Pat Lam will bring his Connacht side to the Ricoh Arena to face Wasps in the Champions Cup, and if this trend continues they'll face a side bang in form.
However, it's hard to know what to read from this result, other than Wasps were hugely dominant in their 62-10 romp over Worcester Warriors in last weekend's Anglo Welsh Cup action.
Dai Young's second string ran in ten tries in this win - although both teams were understrength for this clash. Dan Robson and Jacob Umaga - both replacements - caught the eye with two tries each, but it was far too easy for the Coventry outfit.
Tomorrow sees Wasps get back to league action with a tough away trip to Kingsholm to face Gloucester, but they will fancy their chances of a win as they bid to keep in touch with the leaders. Six wins from seven league games sees them trail Saracens by just one point - the only team to beat them so far this season.
Across the English Channel, another of Connacht's Pool 2 rivals, Toulouse, didn't fare as brightly as Wasps, as Toulouse lost 25-19 away to La Rochelle.
Toulouse came with a late surge as Kunatani Kunabuli touched down and Sébastien Marques added nine points from the boot, but Zack Holmes won it late on for La Rochelle
On Sunday, Toulouse are on the road again, this time Bayonne are the opposition in a battle of last place versus sixth.
