Connacht's Euro rivals Wasps were stunned last weekend as Gloucester devoured them at Kingsholm and inflicted just their second loss of the season - a 36-18 thrashing in the English Premiership.

The concession of five tries was perhaps the biggest surprise in this tie as Laurie Fisher's side made short work of their visitors, especially in the second half.

Dai Young's side slipped five points behind Saracens and down to third in the table, and will want to avoid another slip-up on the home front against Sale on Sunday, two weeks out from their double-header with Connacht.

Meanwhile, in the Top 14, Toulouse lost 16-13 at Bayonne - their fifth away defeat from six games on the domestic front.

A try from Gillian Galan and Sebastien Bezy's conversion and penalty meant Toulouse led by 10-0 after just 20 minutes, but Julien Jané's try and the boot of Emmanuel Saubusse tied the scores by the interval.

A yellow card for Florian Fritz threw Toulouse after the restart, and the only points of the half came directly from that penalty to clinch the win for relegation threatened Bayonne - just their third victory of the season.

Toulouse will aim to warm up for the Champions Cup when they face Brive on Sunday.

Elsewhere this weekend, Zebre will return to Pro12 action tonight when they take on Ulster at Kingspan Stadium.
