I was born in Mayo and lived the first half of my life in Cork before moving to Sligo at nine years of age. I joined Sligo RFC straight away when I moved to the town.
I started as a hooker but in school I was moved to centre. I played in the centre up until three years ago when I was moved to the back -row for the Connacht U-18 team.
Rugby really started to take off for me in Transition Year after playing with the Connacht U-18s and then being selected for the Ireland U-18 team. In the same year my club U-18 team made it to the All-Ireland final and I played my first year in the Senior Cup team.
Favourite Connacht game?
It has to be Connacht's 24-16 win against Munster on New Year's day. I was at the match and the atmosphere was incredible and it was one of the most physical games I have ever seen. It was unbelievable to see Connacht come back from 13-0 down after 20 minutes.
Most memorable game I have played in?
My first cap for the Irish U-18 team in Italy. It was a really wet and cold day and horrible conditions. It was a very physical game and I scored a try in the second half.
It has to be the Sportsground as its where we train every day and it could be your home ground if you are lucky enough to make it to the professional team.
