I grew up in a small village called Ballyvaughan in County Clare. From a young age I started playing for Galwegians as it was the nearest club to me.

I then started school in Cistercian College Roscrea where rugby became a real passion of mine.

I also enjoyed playing hurling at a high level during my time in school.

I play full-back, winger and centre. I was part of the Leinster underage system from U-18s right through to U-20s. I have been capped at Ireland U-18s schools level as well two years ago.

Favourite Connacht game: Two years ago when Connacht went down to Toulouse and beat them in the Heineken Cup. It was a massive game and nobody could believe the result!

Most memorable game I have played in: When I was in fourth year in school during the 2010-11 season, we beat St Gerard's in the Leinster Senior Cup semi-final in Donnybrook. A day I will never forget with great team-mates.

Favourite ground: As a Clare man, from a young age Thomond Park was always a ground I wanted to play in as it holds so much tradition. I am lucky enough to have played there twice so far. Once for the Leinster U-18s side and again for the Connacht Sevens team during the Limerick World Club Sevens competition this year, which was an amazing experience for all of us.
