Connacht supporters are urged to snap up the last few remaining tickets for next week's crunch Pro12 inter-pro derby against Leinster at the Sportsground.

Ticket fever has gone into overdrive as most of the 1,400 extra tickets that were put on sale have already been sold for the top of the table meeting on Easter Saturday, March 26.

Already the Clan Terrace, the enclosed stand and the Main Stand have been sold out completely, but there are some tickets still available for both the Bohermore Road and College Road ends of the ground.

A crowd in excess of 7,000 is expected at the venue - the biggest this season - for what promises to be a huge game in deciding the destination of the Pro12's play-off places.

As part of the work to accommodate the additional supporters, tiered terracing has been installed at each end of the ground, which will see the attendance swell beyond the 5,876 that packed in to see the St Stephen's Day meeting with Ulster.

Last season 7,745 supporters attended the memorable 24-16 win against Munster on New Year's Day and a similar attendance and result would make Saturday week an occasion to remember for the province.

Five wins in a row against Scarlets, Dragons, Zebre, Ospreys and Edinburgh - four with a bonus point - have Connacht leading the Pro12, but Leinster can reclaim top spot ahead of next week with victory in Glasgow tonight.

Tickets, starting at €25 for adults, are available from tickets.ie, from Centra or SuperValu stores province-wide and from the Connacht Rugby ticket office at the Sportsground.
