Ireland internationals Ultan Dillane, Finlay Bealham and Kieran Marmion as well as Bundee Aki, Tiernan O'Halloran, Matt Healy, James Connolly and other Connacht stars were joined by members of the Connacht Clan for the event.

The newly refurbished store offers a brand new experience for the sports enthusiast and shopper, with four zones across 8,500 square feet which are designed especially for customers to find exactly what they need under a specific sports category.

Each zone is customised to ensure all customer needs are met and is divided into the Boot Room, Run Club, Trainer Central and Women's Studio - the store is based on the LifeStyle Sports Grafton Street flagship store in Dublin.

LifeStyle Sports are Connacht Rugby's main sponsor, and Stafford says this is a huge step forward for the company.

"We are excited to unveil this newly refurbished flagship store in Galway Retail Park while at the same time being able to celebrate what is a fantastic season for Connacht Rugby," he said.

"This store represents a major investment for our brand and reflects our continued commitment to bringing innovation in sports retailing, the best sports and fitness products, advice and unrivalled shopping experience to the people of Galway and Connacht."
