Saracens claimed their first Champions Cup title last weekend, and many people lamented the state of the tournament with another 'money bags' club winning it, writes Johnny O'Connor.

There's no doubt that Saracens have massive financial clout, and have attracted some great names, but it's not all about the money at the London club.

Like Connacht, there is a structure there and the right people employed in the right areas to keep them ticking over from week to week. I have no doubt that they wouldn't have won the Champions Cup without Mark McCall in charge.

Other super clubs around Europe have huge squads packed full of internationals, but they don't have the heart to compete at that level. Saracens suffered heartbreak a number of times in the Champions Cup. But through winning the Premiership they grew together as a team and would stop at nothing until they got the ultimate prize.

Last weekend they realised their ambition and with the way Saracens has been set up, I'm sure they will only get better in the future. Things could get very competitive down the line.
