Q&A with Summerhill college's Shane O'Hehir

Name: Shane O'Hehir

School: Summerhill College Sligo

Position: Hooker

Biggest influence?

It would have to be my father - he has coached me since I was under 13 and has always supported me and gives great advice.

Famous alumni?

Conan O'Donnell, who has played with Connacht seniors and Ireland U-20s two years in a row. I played senior cup with him two years ago.

Player most admired (and why)?

Sean Cronin - very good hooker and has unbelievable pace. I used to watch him playing for Connacht.

Most memorable game?

Last year's Senior Cup game versus Sligo Grammar. Beating them on their home patch was something special to get Summerhill into their first senior cup final ever.

What does it mean to captain the side this year?

It's a privilege to lead a great school after my brother and father both captained the side in their days.
