Plenty of time left to stake Lions claim
Even though the Six Nations has already been decided, there is still a lot to play for in the final weekend, and the Lions tour to New Zealand is gradually coming to the forefront of people's minds.
There will always be bankers for the Lions, and there will probably be 15 or 20 lads that are definitely going to be on the plane barring injury.
But with teams turning each other over during the Six Nations - Scotland beat Ireland, Wales beat Ireland, Scotland beat Wales - the selection is a bit more competitive than we think.
England are going really well and they will have a big contingent on the tour.
And Scotland will more players selected than they normally do too. That hammering by England was just one game, and they are allowed that after playing so well in the early rounds of the Six Nations.
The final selections are going to come down to the European rugby after the Six Nations. And there is still plenty of time for players to impress Warren Gatland and the rest of the coaching staff.
There are certain players that are just good touring players. A lot of it comes down to the characters within the group. It's not all about talent. But the selection will be a lot more open this time around.
