Galwegians U-14 squad warmed up for their visit to the Ireland-Wales game with a competitively played friendly against their Lansdowne U-14 counterparts.
Lansdowne just edged ahead in the last few minutes to take the win. It was a great way to prepare for the side's remaining league and Cup fixtures over the next few weeks.
The squad trains together on Monday evenings and Saturday mornings and new players are always welcome.
Galwegians even have a player who travels in from Aran to train and play with the club.
Ciarán ó Flaitheartha travels in each weekend for his rugby fix.
Ciarán is the nephew of Tim Hernon, who played for many years with Galwegians.
