Sean Hartigan, a fourth year medical student, was lead organiser of the event which raised over €1,100 for charity. The event ran from 12pm until 4pm and saw 20 teams sign up to take part on the day. Donations flooded in throughout the day from players, spectators and passers-by.

NUIG Movember are now seventh on the national leaderboard which is all thanks to the kind donations received. NUIG Movember hope to hold the tag rugby tournament next year also. All proceeds will be donated to the Movember Foundation.

Organisers were quick to thank their sponsors for the fantastic support they received on the day and in the build-up to the event - Mr Waffle for catering the event FREE, Bank of Ireland for their extremely kind donation to the cause, Electric Garden & Theatre for hosting our after party and the delicious drinks, Fyffes Ireland for donation of 200 tasty bananas, ComicBooks.ie for their donation and Kingfisher for taking the event at the last minute when the pitch was unplayable!

Connacht Rugby CDO, Jarleth Naughton, was also on hand on the day to lend some equipment and rugby expertise.
