I met with Connacht academy hooker Jack Dineen on Sunday - I just wanted to have quick chat with him. But it's interesting to see how some of these young players think, and they really have good rugby minds.

The thing with rugby is you have to be in peak physical condition, but another part of it is the mindset, and how you play the game.

From talking to him, you can tell how interested he is in the game, and it's really refreshing to see players like that coming through the Connacht system.

I had heard good things about him before, and it proves that the structures are working when see more and more quality coming through the ranks there.

He is a young hooker starting out in the game, but he sounds like he has much more experience, and he also has that willingness to learn.

That can be invaluable in this game, and when you adapt the skill-set to match, it makes for a really good rugby player.

He is just one of many exciting prospects in the academy at the moment. And if Connacht can bring these guys through, who knows what the future could hold?
