As Connacht were devouring Zebre in Italy, the province's group rivals were taking points off each other in France.

Wasps will be the happier of the two teams following their 20-20 draw away to Toulouse, earned in the dying minutes thanks to Jimmy Gopperth's conversion from the right wing after Nathan Hughes' try.

A missed tackle by Paul Perez allowed the powerful Wasps back-row to collapse over the line to score, but without a win in their first two Champions Cup games, it remains to be seen how interested Toulouse will be in the competition once it resumes in a little over a month's time.

This weekend Wasps return to league action against Newcastle Falcons in Coventry on Sunday afternoon. A win for Dai Young's side will keep them hot on the heels of champions Saracens, who face Leicester Tigers tomorrow.

Meanwhile, in the Top 14, Toulouse will hope to recover form and climb up from eighth in the standings when they travel to Pau tomorrow.

A win against James Coughlan's side would be a first on the road this season for the French giants, but against the 12th-placed team they will fancy a victory to soften the blow of defeat to Connacht.

And after their collapse at home to Pat Lam's side last weekend, Zebre will hope to claim a first win of the season tonight when they face Edinburgh at Murrayfield.
