Corinthians backed up a home win over Thomond with a hard-fought away victory over Nenagh Ormond and the Galway side will look to continue that upturn in form with victory over Skerries this weekend.

Galwegians will look to return to winning ways when they host UCD in Crowley Park this weekend.

Fourth-placed Buccaneers, who travel to Dolphin, have begun life in 1B impressively and but for an early red card last time out they may have made it four wins from five outings.

In Division 2C, Sligo host Dundalk in a relegation clash. Sligo sit second from bottom with just two losing bonus points to show from five matches.

Dundalk, though, haven't got a single point, and Sligo will hope that a victory this weekend can kick-start their season.

Within the province, there is a full schedule of Junior League action in prospect this weekend.

In J1A Galwegians will look to maintain their advantage at the top of the table as they face Westport.

Corinthians will host Buccaneers and Connemara entertain Monivea, while third-placed Ballina travel to take on fourth-placed Ballinasloe.

J1B and C also kick back into high gear this weekend; Ballyhaunis will host Castlebar tomorrow night, and Tuam will look to maintain their 100pc start at home to OLBC.

NUIG host Loughrea and Creggs travel to Sligo.

In J1C table toppers Ballinrobe travel to Buccaneers and Dunmore host Galwegians.
