Connacht fly-half Jack Carty will be out of action 1-3 months after suffering a ruptured spleen while on holiday.

The 23-year-old suffered the water slide accident while on holidays in Dubai last week and had his spleen removed in a hospital over there.

The Athlone man will spend another week in hospital in Dubai before he is well enough to return home.
