After a horrid start to the season, Connacht are finally beginning to resemble the side that won the Pro12 playing a thrilling brand of rugby last year.

Pat Lam will be delighted that his side have now managed three consecutive victories against Edinburgh, Ulster and Toulouse, but he will be just as happy that one of his key summer signings is almost ready for action.

South African out-half Marnitz Boshoff, who has been capped by the Springboks, will arrive in Galway by the end of this week and is set to be 'integrated into full team training'.

Boshoff's arrival was delayed due to his participation in the Currie Cup in South Africa with The Lions, but Lam will now be able to call on him in the near future.

Games against Zebre and Leinster over the next two weekends are likely to come too soon for the South African, who should be up to speed by the time the Pro12 resumes towards the end of the autumn tests.

Expect to see Boshoff make his Connacht debut when the westerners host Cardiff on Friday November 25.
