Confirmed! Connacht lock Aly Muldowney to join Bernard Jackman's Grenoble next season
Grenoble have confirmed the capture of Connacht second row Aly Muldowney.
Muldowney was included on a list of seven players being released at the end of the season and he has been snapped up the Top 14 side.
The 32-year-old has played a pivotal role in Connacht's stellar season, which sees them tied at the top of the Pro12 table with Leinster having already secured Champions Cup rugby for next season.
He joins on a two-year-deal.
"I am happy to have signed for Grenoble. My family and I look forward to arriving," he said.
"This is a beautiful city and a fantastic rugby club! I spoke with Bernard Jackman several times and he has a great vision for the club, which is very exciting and I'm looking forward to, hopefully, playing a role.
"It's also a great opportunity for me to play the Top 14, that one of the best and most challenging competitions in the world."
Andrew Browne, Ultan Dillane, Ben Marshall and Quinn Roux will be the main second-row options for the province next season.
