The black tie event will be attended by CEO Willie Ruane, Connacht coach Pat Lam and the rest of the playing and coaching staff.

It encompasses all levels of rugby within the province and celebrates achievements in underage, clubs, schools, women's and the professional sector.

Tickets can be purchased from the Connacht Rugby office at the Sportsground or by contacting 091 561568 - it is €90 per ticket or €900 per table of ten.

The 2014/15 season has been a resounding success throughout the province with Pat Lam's senior side performing above all expectations in both the Pro12 and the Challenge Cup.

Their exit from Europe at the quarter-final stage last weekend was heartbreaking after a titanic 14-7 defeat against Gloucester at Kingsholm.

Prior to that, however, they beat both Bayonne and La Rochelle in France to qualify for the knockout stage and they are aiming to play in the first tier next year.

Currently Connacht are well on their way in sixth position, the final automatic qualification spot, ahead of their meeting with Ulster tomorrow.

Edinburgh and Scarlets remain their two closest rivals and the battle for sixth looks to go down to the final day of the season with just four rounds remaining.

Connacht host Ospreys in the last round on the same day of the awards ceremony and it could be the ideal opportunity to celebrate their qualification into the Champions Cup for next season.

Summer camps should be big hit

The Connacht Rugby summer camps are returning this year for the tenth time.

With camps taking place across the length and breadth of the province, it is an ideal opportunity for the stars of the future to hone their skills during an action-packed and fun-filled week in the camp.

The activities are child-focused and the coaches are all qualified to teach at mini-rugby level. If you wish to register your child for the events, visit the Connacht Rugby website and follow the link provided.

The price is €70 per child with a 10 per cent discount for three children or more, and a child can attend another camp for €50.

The camps are open to both boys and girls between the ages of six and 12 years - the camps are also open to players with all levels of ability, from beginners through to the more advanced.

There are 13 venues to choose from around the province and they run from 9.30am to 2pm each day.

The Connacht Rugby summer camps give kids a chance to learn all about the game and increase their skill levels while also making new friends in a safe and healthy environment.

All of those who attend the camps will receive special Connacht Rugby's summer camp pack - these contain an official Connacht summer jersey, shorts and socks, a Connacht Rugby ball and a free junior ticket to a selected Connacht Rugby game.

Each camp will also feature a number of members from the Connacht Rugby squad who meet and greet the youngsters during the week.
