Connacht keep Cronin hooked with new deal
CONNACHT rugby received a major boost yesterday with the news that international hooker Sean Cronin has signed a one-year contract extension.
The 23-year-old Limerickman joined Connacht at the start of last season after three years in the Munster Academy and there was much speculation that he would return to his native province at the end of this season.
Cronin has thrived under Michael Bradley, making the No 2 jersey his own and impressing to the point where made his international debut in the win over Fiji at the RDS two months ago. With Rory Best not due back until March, Cronin is looking to make his Six Nations debut next month.
