Sponsored by Bord Gais, the awards are highly regarded as they are the only ones voted for by the players themselves and Connacht have a good chance at scooping three of them.

Fionn Carr is up for young player of the year, against Keith Earls and Scott Deasy, and is also in the running for try of the year after his wonder score against Leinster at the RDS.

His second-row colleague Michael Swift has a great chance of picking up the Unsung Hero award, his competition coming from Leinster's John Fogarty and Ulster's Chris Henry.
