Connacht announce new deal for emerging star wing Niyi Adeolokun
There is some good news for Connacht fans today amid a disappointing start to the season after the province announced a contract extension for wing Niyi Adeolokun.
The 25-year old joined the province in 2014, enjoying a breakout year last season as Connacht won the Pro12 title. Adeolokun scored a try against Leinster in last May's league final, and started this season in similar form as he crossed the line in the first game against Glasgow.
Unfortunately for the westerners, they have lost their opening two fixtures but supporters will be buoyed by the new deal for their star wing, who has signed until the summer of 2019.
"I'm very pleased for both Connacht Rugby and our supporters that Niyi will be playing with us for the next three seasons," Connacht head coach Pat Lam said in a statement.
"As the fastest member of our squad, he is a very exciting rugby player with a huge amount of talent. But what impresses us the most with Niyi is his willingness to put in the hard work and consistently look for areas he can improve."
