Coach trip could suit 'Axel' aims

AS much as players are trying to sort out their contracts for next season, so are coaches.

We mentioned here before how former Ireland forwards coach Niall O'Donovan is on the market with a CV that commands respect and attention and another ex-Shannon and Munster No 8 on the coaching merry-go-round is Anthony 'Axel' Foley.

Foley is enjoying great success with the Munster 'A' side, who cruised into the semi-finals of the British and Irish Cup recently, but, with head coach Tony McGahan and his fellow Australian forwards coach Lawrie Fisher recently signing contract extensions, Foley may be tempted by a move away from the province at the end of the season.

The feedback on Foley from players under his tutelage is very positive and you would imagine with his experience and knowledge of winning rugby, his services would be in high demand. HF
