Two Irish players make Champions Cup dream XV but Dan Carter edges out Johnny Sexton
Garry Ringrose and Iain Henderson have been selected in a Champions Cup dream XV selected by The Telegraph.
Saracens dominated the fifteen, with five representatives.
Steve James chose Garry Ringrose at number 13, and wrote: "(Ringrose is) A bolter but he is full of such rich promise that it will be a surprise if he does not light up this season's competition. Wasps' Elliot Daly needs to rediscover last season's touch."
Ulster's Iain Henderson was chosen at number six, with James explaining: "At lock or six he is some player, tremendously feisty and competitive. Such a shame Toulon's Juan Smith is out for so long. He would have been in otherwise".
Dan Carter was also chosen at number 10 ahead of Jonathan Sexton, despite the recent doping controversy surrounding the Racing 92 player.
"Hasn't been fit, has been embroiled in controversy but you still can't leave him out," James wrote of Carter. "Good to see Leinster's Jonathan Sexton back in good nick, and it will be interesting to see how Wasps' Danny Cipriani goes."
