Five to watch. . .

Lionel Nallet (lock)

The veteran 34-year-old French second-row is the team captain and a regular adversary with the Irish provinces in this competition from previous spells with Bourgoin and Castres.

Jonathan Wisniewski (out-half)

With the mercurial Juan Martin Hernandez absent and prodigious kicker Francois Steyn struggling, Wisniewski may come in under the radar. O'Gara-like in his direction of play.

Sebastien Chabal (no 8)

One of the highest earners in the world game -- not much change from €1m -- 'Le Caveman' was held in reserve last week for this week's crunch clash with Jamie Heaslip.

Mirco Bergamasco (centre)

The talented Italian utility back who has it all -- as those of us who once bumped into the friendly 27-year-old and associated eye candy in a Rome nightclub can testify.

Nicolas Durand (scrum-half)

One of the smartest scrum-halves around, the former Beziers and Perpignan star is a canny French international whose style emulates that of his famous coach.
