The go-to pair for Ireland in the mid-to-late 1980s, playing a crucial role under Mick Doyle when Ireland landed the Triple Crown in 1985. Beautiful, balanced runners with backgrounds in athletics and speed to burn.

Dick Milliken

and Mike Gibson

First paired in the famous win over England in 1973, Milliken only played 14 matches for Ireland but he was a star of the 1974 Lions tour to South Africa, and his partnership with legendary fellow Ulsterman Gibson was exceptional.
