Blues call up Conway
LEINSTER have included Ireland U-20 star Andrew Conway as one of their three additional players for the knock-out stages of the Heineken Cup, writes Hugh Farrelly.
The 18-year-old back-three player was one of the stars of Ireland's recent U-20 championship win and was named as an additional player yesterday, along with flanker Paul Ryan and South African hooker Richard Strauss.
Munster's three additional players are Dolphin tight-head Dave Ryan, hooker Michael Sherry and full-back/out-half Scott Deasy, who has impressed in the Magners League this season.
Munster's quarter-final opponents Northampton made a significant addition to their squad with the inclusion of 52-times capped Wallaby second-row Daniel Vickerman. The 30-year-old took time out of his professional career in 2008 to study at Cambridge before returning to rugby with the Saints after Christmas.
Connacht, who face Bourgoin in their Challenge Cup quarter-final, have made one addition in 21-year-old Galwegians second-row David Nolan, a Galway native and former Ireland U-20 player.
