How will Munster fare in the draw for the Champions Cup this season?

Will they avoid any banana skins in the opening round, especially when they have lost their talisman Paul O'Connell to Toulon?

 Connacht Rugby are also in the draw for the Challenge Cup.

In case you're in any way confused about the draw for the Champions Cup, here goes:

Tier 1

Tier 1 will include the three league champions from the Aviva Premiership, the Top 14 and the PRO12 - Saracens, Stade Français Paris and Glasgow Warriors.

Tier 1 will also include two of the three clubs which are ranked second from the Aviva Premiership, the Top 14 and the PRO12. - Bath Rugby, ASM Clermont Auvergne and Munster Rugby. The two clubs will be decided by a draw in advance of the draw for the pools.

 

Tier 2

Tier 2 will include the three clubs which are ranked third from the Aviva Premiership, the Top 14 and the PRO12. - Northampton Saints, RC Toulon and Ospreys.

Tier 2 will also include the second-ranked club which was not drawn into Tier 1 - One of Bath Rugby, ASM Clermont Auvergne and Munster Rugby, and the club which is ranked fourth from the same league as the club which was not drawn into Tier 1 - One of Leicester Tigers, Toulouse and Ulster.

 

Tier 3

Tier 3 will include the two clubs ranked fourth which are not in Tier 2 - Two of Leicester Tigers, Toulouse and Ulster.

Tier 3 will also include the three clubs which are ranked fifth from each league - Exeter Chiefs, Racing 92 and Leinster Rugby.

 

Tier 4

Tier 4 will include the three clubs which are ranked sixth in the leagues - Wasps, Oyonnax and Scarlets.

Tier 4 will also include the Italian qualifier - Benetton Treviso and the Champions Cup play-offs qualifier - Bordeaux-Bègles
