Cahills fire Bruff to glory

Three Cahill brothers, Brian, Tony and Eoin, helped Bruff win a thrilling decider at Thomond Park.

Brian kicked 13 points, while Tony was named man of the match in a victory that Bruff fully deserved, despite having to battle on their own line for five minutes of stoppage time.

In front 20-14 at the interval, Bruff crucially got the first score within two minutes of the resumption, a penalty by Brian Cahill, who hit three penalties and two conversions.

Bruff had Maurice O'Donnell sin-binned in the 68th minute but, even after Conor Murray crossed with eight minutes left, Garryowen could not capitalise.
