Brian O'Driscoll a doubt for Ireland's autumn series

Brian O’Driscoll is a doubt for Ireland's autumn with a calf injury.

The centre has failed in his fitness battle for Saturday's Heineken Cup round two tie against Castres at the RDS.

The Leinster star is suffering from a torn calf muscle which he sustained two weels ago.

"Brian is still struggling with that calf but the medics are pretty confident he’ll be involved some time soon,” revealed Leinster coach Matt O’Connor.

While O'Connor said he hoped that O'Driscoll would be involved in the derby game against Connacht next weekend, he would not be drawn on a definite return for the talismanic centre

“We hope he plays next week (against Connacht). He may or may not. It is yet to be determined."

Mike Ross is also highly unlikely to feature against Castres.
