Tied 3-3 at half-time, McNamara struck the killer blow after a well-worked move, while Darragh O'Keeffe punished Carlow with five penalties.

National College of Ireland were deservedly crowned champions as the imperious Alan McGinty stole the show at Cork IT yesterday.

McGinty took control with the boot, kicking two long-range penalties while running in a try of his own which he duly converted.
