Take Kiwis' sweet talk with big pinch of salt
THE All Blacks are fantastic public relations operators, providing the hungry media hounds with more quotes than they know what to do with.
Players are trotted out at daily briefings and this week they have been dutifully referring to how "excited" they are about playing in Ireland's new home and how highly they rate Brian O'Driscoll and, you know, er ... the other guys.
Given the respective form of the teams going into Saturday's clash, and Ireland's woes in New Plymouth, the All Blacks' talk of how dangerous they believe the Irish to be and how wary they are of an ambush can be taken with a pinch of salt -- but they are nothing if not courteous.
Tomorrow, after they name their side, New Zealand coach Graham Henry and selected players from their starting XV are scheduled to meet the Irish media for "coffee and muffins".
Let them eat cake?
