AIL at a glance

Star turn

Adam D'Arcy (Ballynahinch)

While there were some big wins in the top tier, full-back D'Arcy's amazing five-try haul in his side's rout of Thomond was the most eye-catching display of the weekend.

One to watch

Ian Madigan (Blackrock)

The out-half eased some Blackrock nerves by kicking all of their goals in their win at Young Munster. The Leinster man's hands and speed are real attributes.

Number of the week

1 Old Belvedere's six-try defeat of Shannon on Saturday evening was their first ever AIL victory over the Limerick men.
