A bitter blow for talisman Muldoon

With all the hype surrounding Declan Kidney's team over the last fortnight, particularly with regards to the new kids on the block, the injury shipped by Connacht and three-times capped Ireland flanker John Muldoon has slipped under the radar.

Muldoon (above) is to Connacht what Brian O'Driscoll, Paul O'Connell and Stephen Ferris are to Leinster, Munster and Ulster respectively. A torn medial ligament against Fiji means he will be out of action for 10 to 12 weeks.

We wish the Connacht braveheart, who turns 30 this week, a full and speedy recovery.
