Despite having only three athletes competing this afternoon, today has been one of Ireland's most eventful days at the 2016 Olympics.
The fallout from Michael Conlan's controversial loss occupied the media landscape in the morning before news broke that the OCI President Pat Hickey had been arrested by Brazilian police.
While everyone was scrambling for further information on the incident, golfer Rory McIlroy sent this tweet, saying '#karma'.
McIlroy pulled out of the Olympics, citing the dangers of the Zika virus as the reason for his withdrawal. It is unclear exactly who or what McIlroy was referring to when he sent the tweet, but the four-time Major champion opted to delete it seconds after it was posted.
Could it have been a little dig at Pat Hickey after his arrest?
