RECAP ON YESTERDAY
Hockey - Ireland were beaten 3-2 by Germany but can still qualify if they beat Canada (tomorrow) and Argentina (Friday).
Shane Ryan (Swimming) - Finished second in his 100m freestyle heat 49.82 seconds, his fastest time of the year. But it was the only good enough to give him 40th place overall based on times, with the 16 fastest swimmers qualifying for the semi-finals.
Nicholas Quinn (Swimming) - Won his 200m breaststroke heat in a time of 2:11.6, but finished 19th overall, missing out on a semi-final by 0.41 secs
Sanita Puspure (Rowing)- Finished fourth in her quarter-final and failed to make the semi-final, despite finishing faster than eight quarter-finalists.
Clare Abbott, Jonty Evans, Mark Kyle, Padraig McCarthy (Equestrian) - Team Ireland finished eighth and Jonty Evans finished individually ninth as Eventing drew to a close.
Annalise Murphy (Sailing) - Second overall in the Laser Radial after fourth (Race 3) and seventh (Race 4) place finishes.
Finn Lynch (Sailing) - Sits in 24th place after finishing 15th (Race 3) and 40th (Race 4) yesterday
