Michael Conlan was denied an Olympic medal by some controversial judging in his bantamweight quarter-final yesterday but this five-year-old is looking to make it right.
Twitter user Joe McKittrick shared a photo of his nephew's letter to the Irish boxer, where the youngster tells Michael Conlan that 'he is a winner' and that he wants to give him a medal he won at school.
It is a really heartwarming antidote to the scenes of yesterday afternoon, and hopefully the letter finds its way to Conlan so the boxer can get in touch with the sender, Finn McManus.
If this letter doesn't move you, then you must be made of stone.
