Ireland's youngest Paralympian Nicole Turner finished eighth in her S6 400m freestyle final this evening.
Remarkably, it was the Portarlington native's fourth final appearance in four events. She shaved two seconds of her PB today in her semi-final to qualify.
She finished last in tonight's final in a time of 5:54.61. A terrific performance given her gruelling schedule in recent days.
Yelyzaveta Mereshko of Ukraine wins gold in the S6 400m freestyle final in 5:17.01, China's Lingling Song claimed silver, while bronze went to Britain's Eleanor Simmons.
Elsewhere today, Ailbhe Kelly came sixth in her heat of the S8 100m backstroke and failed to make the final.
