Olympic round-up: Heartache for Irish hockey team; Paddy Barnes knows who he will face on Monday

Despite a spirited second half comeback, the Irish men's hockey team lost by the odd goal in five to India on their first Olympic appearance since 1908.
Ireland were two goals down at the break and although they scored two themselves in the second half India, ranked fifth in the world, scored their third to secured the win in a contest played in searing temperatures in the Olympic Hockey Centre in Deodora.
There was a surprise result in another Group B match involving the highly rated Dutch team, who are ranked second in the world. But they were held to a 3-3 draw by Argentina.
Ireland meet the Netherlands tomorrow in their second match in the tournament tomorrow evening. The top four countries in the six strong group advance to the knock out quarter final stage of the tournament.
Meanwhile, double Olympic bronze medallist Paddy Barnes will meet 20 year old Spanish light flyweight Samuel Carmona in the second round of the 49kg category on Monday (11.45am).
The Spanish boxer beat Artur Havhannisyan (Armenia) in his opening bout in the Olympic tournament earlier today.
