News that an Irish boxer had failed a drugs test broke this afternoon online and social media was quick to respond.
Gold medal hopeful Paddy Barnes took to Twitter to ask the reporter who broke the story for the Irish Examiner to name and shame the boxer responsible.

A short time later the newspaper did just that and identified O'Reilly as the boxer at the centre of the scandal.
The revelation sparked a massive response from bloggers who reacted with a mixture of shock and anger.
