Yesterday at the Olympics was both extremely dramatic and busy from an Irish perspective, with a host of big name athletes competing.
While Michael Conlan was robbed of an Olympic medal in boxing, Annalise Murphy took silver in the Laser Radial while Thomas Barr advanced to the Olympic final in the 400m hurdles.
Oliver Dingley also finished 8th in the 3m diving final.
Unfortunately, today is far quieter in terms of the number of Irish athletes competing.
800m runner Ciara Everard runs in her heat at 3pm while golfers Leona Maguire and Stephanie Meadow tee off in the first round of the women's Olympic tournament. Maguire starts her round at 11.30, in the first group of the day, while Meadow goes out at 12.52pm.
