Rebels pay the penalty for not closing out

The first in a 10 part series, our panel looks at the weekend’s GAA action in the Munster final between Cork and Kerry and look forward to the Leinster Final between Dublin and Westmeath.

Our GAA Football panel presented by Marie Crowe of UTV Ireland, Eircom brand ambassador the legendary Kerry footballer Tomás Ó Sé and the Irish Independent’s Martin Breheny had plenty to talk about after the Cork and Kerry drew in a pulsating Munster Final at the weekend.

Having fought tooth and nail to take a lead over bitter rivals Kerry, Cork will rue the fact that they failed to extend their lead and conceded what was a contentious 53rd minute penalty to allow Kerry a route back into the game.

With two minutes of added time played, Kerry’s Fionn Fitzgerald lofted over a point to snatch a result at the death that will see these two rivals lock horns in two weeks’ time. No doubt our GAA panel will have no shortage of meaty topics to get their teeth into after the replay.
