Real Madrid WILL NOT renew their interest in Manchester United keeper David de Gea, according to the latest reports breaking in Spain and Germany.

Marca are quoting a senior Real Madrid official, who has reportedly told German news agency dpa that they have no intention of returning with fresh bids to sign De Gea this summer.

United agreed to sell De Gea to Real Madrid on transfer deadline day last summer, but the deal feel through at the last after the paperwork was not registered with the Spanish authorities in time.

De Gea has since a lucrative new contract with United that ties him to the Old Trafford club until 2019 and now a story has broken suggesting the Spanish giants will not launch a fresh move for the Spain keeper any time soon, with the source suggesting his club is content with their current first choice keeper Keylor Navas.

“There is no need to search for another goalkeeper, and that includes De Gea”, they are quoted as saying. “Navas is a fans’ favourite and his performances have been top-drawer.”

However, it seems unlikely that this story will disappear so quickly, with Spanish publication AS reporting that Real Madrid President Florentino Perez will make a fresh bid to sign De Gea ahead of next season.

Don’t be surprised if the De Gea to Real Madrid rumours rumble on throughout this summer, even after this apparent intervention form one of the club’s senior officials.
